The member of the council of trustees of Jewish community of Dnepr.

He was elected the President of the UJCU on the Fifth congress of “the United Jewish community of Ukraine” in Kiev in 2008.

In 2010 he was elected the chief of the European Jewish council.

The patron of the largest Jewish centre in the world “Menorah” (Dnepr) and the museum “Memory of Jewish people and the Holocaust in Ukraine” – third largest memorial complex in the world, devoted to the Holocaust.

In December 2014 he was nominated the director of the United Jewish community of Ukraine.

The initiator of developing the program “Jews of Ukraine”, thanks to which 16 000 victims of Nazism receive a financial aid regularly.

In 2018, Michael Tkach reorganized the work of the UJCU and created the Unified Project Management Center of the Community.
